Ten Percent Companion Growth Supportive Service III –2025 Christmas Visits
As the Christmas season approaches, a time traditionally filled with joy and laughter, our hearts are drawn to the families affected by the recent severe fire at Hong Fuk Court in Tai Po. In light of this, and out of respect for the partnering school’s preference for a more subdued celebration, the Project CARE Foundation has adapted the format of this year’s event. Guided by the principle of “Simplicity, Warmth, and Staying True to Our Mission,” we carried out the “Ten Percent Companion Growth Supportive Service III – Christmas Visits,” offering sincere care to warm the hearts of every grassroots student.
During the activity, Mr. David So, Vice Chairman of the Foundation, visited the school in person. He not only received thoughtfully handmade Christmas cards from the students—each card filled with childlike sincerity and gratitude—but also held a brief discussion with the principal and teachers to better understand the needs and voices of the students, ensuring that future support is closely aligned with their actual circumstances.
Unlike the lively parties of previous years, this time the Foundation prepared a simple meal and practical gifts, hoping to convey a form of “quiet warmth” that would help students realize that the meaning of Christmas lies not only in celebration and receiving, but also in cherishing present blessings and showing empathy for those facing difficulties. The Foundation also took this opportunity to encourage students to care for those in need within the community, allowing love and compassion to take root in their hearts.
The warmth of Christmas never stems solely from grand celebrations; genuine care is expressed through thoughtful and steadfast support when others are in need. The Project CARE Foundation firmly believes that every act of kindness, no matter how small, can gather strength and accompany children courageously on their growth journey. May this simple yet heartfelt blessing accompany the students through a meaningful Christmas, and may love and care transcend hardships to warm the hearts of many more.
