A pair of gloves represent a token of love, sending to everyone in the community.
Every year during the joyful Christmas, Ten Percent Donation Scheme Foundation Volunteer Team kept the tradition to give our children a warm Christmas. Our volunteers went to the 4 centres holding the “After-School Care Support Program” before the festival. They have brought happiness to children in the five community centres including the two centres for “St. James’ Settlement’s Tin Shui Wai Teens’ Group”, the Cheung Sha Wan centre for “YMCA’’s Multi-talent Development Program” and two centres in Kowloon City and Sham Shui Po for Martha Boss Lutheran Community Centre’s “Ten Percent Childrenland”.
Our volunteers mingled with the children at the Christmas party, sharing the joy of the festive season. When they received our warm Christmas presents, i.e. a pair of gloves, they immediately put on and posed for photographs! At the same time, volunteers happily selfied with our children. It was such a harmonious occasion.
Some of the unprivileged families found difficult to buy Christmas presents for the children and hard to achieve their aspirations because of the financial situation. This is why our Foundation has sponsored the children a Christmas feast every year. We sincerely wish our children to have a pleasant memory.
