Martha Boss Lutheran Community Centre – Ten Percent Childrenland
In 2020-2021, we sponsored 87 students, aged from 6 to 12, who live in Sham Shui Po, Ma Tau Wai, Ho Man Tin and Hung Hom districts, and some of the students are South Asians and non-Chinese students.
The mission of the program is to build up the faith, happiness and optimism attitude with the students. Besides the basic academic and child care support, the program also focuses on all-rounded development and offer various extra-curricular activities, such as Personal growth workshops (communication skills, emotion and self-control); Learning workshops (memory training, computer usage, phonics); Outdoor activities (Day Camp); Interest classes (handcrafts, sports games, musical instruments) and Family activities to strengthen the bonds within the families.
We hope to assist the low-income families in all aspect, build up their community network, and provide comprehensive development of the students to enhance their competitiveness.
