The Boys’& Girls’ Clubs Association Hong Kong – Walk with Children Ten Percent Donation Scheme Foundation
This year, our Foundation has continued to cooperate with The Boy’s & Girls’ Clubs Association of Hong Kong, to implement the “Walk with Children” program.
This program targets the under-privileged families, particularly those with low-income, new arrivals from Mainland China, single parents or require Special Education Needs. We hope to relieve parent’s pressure in taking care of their children, and provide learning opportunities or development to the students.
In 2020-2021, our Foundation has sponsored 60 students, which ranging from Primary 1 to Primary 6, through this program. In addition to provide homework assistance and snacks, our volunteers will provide paired reading to the students. On weekdays, we will provide life sharing, attention improvement, team training, music, dance performance, and other interest groups to the students. During the holidays, we will arrange indoor and outdoor learning activities to them, so that they can enjoy a more comprehensive development.
Moreover, this program will provide a full day care services during the summer holidays, and we will held parent’s gathering in every semester, a channel for them to share thoughts and feelings, so that we could improve the program and provide the best support to the students.
